Canada to Mexico Bike Ride Reaches San Francisco!

The dedicated riders who began their trip down the entire Pacific Coast of the United States last month, biking from Vancouver to Tijuana to support microfinancing through Kiva, roll into San Francisco this Wednesday. Help welcome them in a potluck event at the Mission District Sports Basement (1590 Bryant Street, between 15th & 16th), where the tired and hungry bikers will talk about the adventures they’ve had so far and their plans for the rest of the trip, a project of Global Agents for Change. All are welcome to come alone, with friends, or with a great big tupperware of food – anything edible will be happily greeted with open mouths, because folks who spend their days biking are like sweaty baby birds. They prefer pasta to worms though.
